“Maquapel was not to be easily defeated. Lapis and Exiliss fought with all their power but
the could not oppress Maquapel though he should had been exhausted from the battle.
Lapis burned Maquapel’s venom with fire and Exiliss neutralized it with water. War of gods
continued for 2 generations in during which Exiliss was poisoned in the course and Coellis
came back to the battlefield just in time but he was not fully recovered. You do know,
though young, that gods are immortals, do you?
Gods finally made a decision. A decision so noble and sacrificial. In other words, gods
decided to sacrifice themselves and be sealed in the world of darkness dragging Maquapel
with them. Gods started the final battle. While Coellis, with what strength remained of
him, stroke numerous lightning obstructing Maquapel’s movement, Exiliss, with poison
already spreading on him, held Maquapel at his back tightly. Maquapel diffused enormous
amount of venom, trying to get Exilis to let go of him.
Though he tried, Maquapel couldn’t shake Exiliss off, and Lapis took the chance and took
the heart of Maquapel out.
Terrible scream spread widely across the continent. It was not only the scream of
Maquapel was loudly heard as his heart was being taken out but also the cry of Lapis
was heard as he tried to seal Maquapel’s heart in his chest. Countless lives were lost
during this battle and came the period of chaos. Exiliss concealed himself at the Uranos,
which is located at southernmost part of the continent, bringing Maquapel’s heartless
body with him, while Lapis went to the northernmost part of the continent, the Leto
Island, and buried himself along with Maquapel’s heart. Coellis remained, staying at the
Castle Cronous, and dedicated himself to protect the world. This is the reason why
Temple of Coellis,the youngest of three gods, was built on the largest castle in the
continent.
As you can see for yourself now, it was soon before the peace came to the continent
but it would never be as beautiful place as it was before. One of reasons may be the
disappearance of all those 2nd and 3rd class gods after the war. Some people claim to
have seen Akasic after the war but I am not sure if it is true. Well, it may be a fact for the
great historian Todd wrote that he has met him.
This is all I know about the legend. It is said that sonorous scream of avaricious god
disseminates around the Leto Island until this day."
