Smelting |
Smelting is a function of improving the performance of a specific item using smelting stones. Abilities to be improved by smelting are item¡¯s both basic abilities, such as attack ability and resistance, and those of additional item options.
There are the two types of smelting stones: the ¡®Divine Stone' and ¡®Combination Stone.' Like their names, they can enhance abilities of divine and combination item respectively. The smelting function cannot be applied to Excellent Items and Imperial Items with random options.
Unlike general smelting stones, some stones have prefixes such as blessing, general, and curse attached to their name. Blessing Stone can enhance an item by +1, +2, or +3 levels.
General smelting stone with no prefix enhances the level of an item by +1. Curse Stone lowers the level of an item by -1.
Items that can be smelted may be upgraded up to maximum of +15 level. In case of smelting failure, basic and optional abilities of specific item witll either diminish or disappear totally.
Smelting stone may be combined with Fortune Orb for higher chance to succeed. |
| Use method |
¨ç Smelting stone and item must be in the inventory. Smelting function may be used within one's own inventory. However, it is better to use it at a safe place with no enemies hanging around.
¨è Right-click on the smelting stone. The finger type cursor will be changed into a cursor indicating a smelting state. Clicking on a Divine Stone, red rim wiil appear around the smelting stone icon and a blue rim in case of the Combination stone. Respective color rim will be drawn around those items that can be smelted. Through this function, you do not have to memorize items compatible with a particular stone.
¨é Place the cursor on the item to be smelted, item information will appear as usual, and then left-click to start smelting. Item specification will change or disappear as result. As different effects and sound come out according to success or failure, you can confirm the result easily.
¨ê When completed, the cursor will return to its normal state and colored rims around items will disappear.

Kinds of smelting stones and success rate or chages according to each level are as are as follows. |
| Success Rate |
Success rate for Divine stones and Combination stones are the same. Lowest level for any Divine item is +1 while Combination item has no level and, through an initial smelting, you have to transform it into a smelt-able item. In other words, you have to provide the level qualified for smelting adding ¡°+1¡± to the item. When you turn an item to a smelt-able item, specification or options of the item do not change and success rate is 100%. Therefore, Combination items need one more smelting stone than Divine items. |
Therefore, when you transform an item into smelt-able item, it would be economical to use general smelting stone rather than a Blessing Stone since there is no change in specs or options. |

As shown in the table, when using General Stone, the chance of +1 level becoming +2 level is 87%. Success rate of a Blessing Stone is the sum of +1 level, +2 level and +3 level success ratio. Therefore, the chance to succeed of Blessing Stone is 10% higher than General Smelting Stone. Using Blessing Stone at +1 level, the chance to succeed becomes 97%. When using a stone upgraded by Fortune Orb, you can increase the success rate by 3% to 5%. |
¡Ü The upgrade of divine accessories can be done by smelting, not throungh combining. In case of failure, items, except those of +1, +2. +3, +4 levels, will disappear. You must be prudent of choosing which item to smelt. |
Curse Stone may be used to increase the success rate of Blessing Stone safely. Higher the level of items is, success rate is lower. Blessing and Curse stones can make up for this. For example, an item with +4 level drops to +3 level in failure of smelting, its success rate is 42%( 52% when using Blessing Smelting Stone). You can challenge up to +7 level in this case. However, if you try smelting by lowering the current level to +3 using the curse stone, the success rate goes up to 57%( 67% when using Blessing Stone). Such a method is more effective for items that are in the category of lower success rate such as +4 level or +10 level. This is an important factor in success or failure of smelting. |
| Additional Effect |
If you combine ¡®Fortune Orb (red)¡¯ and ¡®Fortune Orb (blue)¡¯ to a smelting stone, the success rate increases by 3% to 5%. |
