CRONOUS

CRONOUS is the heart and center of the Continent, where the head temple of the Coellis sect and Oracle, the group of sages, are located.
The castle is also the place where the heroes, who received the message to fight against Sidus from Oracle, start their first adventure. To prepare the adventurers who will leave for distant places, the castle is full of vitality now.

Rolling is known to have dropped out of Kanon Magic School at the intermediate course, due to his personal circumstances. During his five-year trip to the continent, he had gathered many mysterious articles and returned to CRONOUS. Since then, he often went traveling to some places and returned home, bringing with him lots of magic articles.
He has a passion for magic and people believe he has the ability to make magic articles. Since he is a man of profound knowledge not only about magic but also about lots of other affairs, he gives much wise information and advice to other merchants and residents of the castle. To the people in the castle, Rolling is no less than a sage.

Fredrick is an excellent craftsman who is included among the best five in the CRONOUS Continent. He makes and sells superb weapons and armor to the fighters who come to CRONOUS. He has such deep affection for the weapons he himself has made that he does not show or sell his high-quality weapon to the person who he does not think deserves it, and shows only to someone who deserves it. He can fix worn-down weapons and defense equipment in a brief moment and, to give help to travelers, has recently lowered the price of weapon repair and sales prices.

To name the person who receives the most visits by travelers in CRONOUS, Ettn must be the one. Upon the foundation of reliability and faithfulness he has laid through his lifetime, he runs a depository. Like all the depositories that belong to Guild, Ettn’s depository is famous for its security.
Since the invasions by Sidus have become frequent, he has increased the size of his depository to a big scale and lowered the rental fee, thus helping the travelers. Such an action has raised his reputation higher.

All the travelers passing through CRONOUS think it is a natural thing to do to stop in her restaurant, because the restaurant is well known for tasty food, and she conveys useful information she received from travelers to other travelers. It is said that an uncountable number of travelers could avoid danger thanks to the information she had provided.
These days the travelers who seek to find out about Sidus’s plot have gathered to share information in her restaurant.

Mael is one of the sages who belong to the Oracle in CRONOUS. He has such deep affection for CRONOUS residents that he always stays close to them to listen attentively to their difficulties and keep them in his mind. To all the people in the village, regardless of children, adults and merchants, Mael is like a dear head of a family. He also has the role of transmitting adventurers to the place they want to go, using the Waypoint established by the magicians of Oracle. I was told that he sometimes finds travelers who are skilled in combat and entrusts them with some mission.

Alfred is a drillmaster at the training school that is affiliated with the CRONOUS Garrison. He is training a large number of young men who will become the members of the CRONOUS Garrison. I heard some of his pupils have become famous fighters. He emphasizes that no matter how strong one feels he is, there will always be someone stronger than he, and that is why one cannot afford to neglect training even for a while.

Raskin is someone who has been kept hidden in CRONOUS. His duty is to give blessing to people so as to raise virtue that has fallen low with cruel killing of lives. Even though there are lots of rumors about Raskin going around, no one knows how he can give away so much value. However, since his blessing requires a degree of reward, it is not open to the poor and the weak.
I heard that a small portion of people speak against him for that matter, while quite a few people hold him in reverence for his sacred power.

Kreig is a very sincere and faithful young man. Having marriage ahead of him, he is working hard to accumulate a fortune. When he has no work to do, he walks about in the town restlessly, evidence of how eagerly he is waiting to get married.
His other brothers are working as members of the CRONOUS Garrison. However, since he is weak, he works together with them, taking care of miscellaneous business of the Garrison instead of working as a Guard.

Illein is a woman who once dreamed of becoming a fighter. Though she always reminisces about her old dream when she watches travelers who fight against monsters, she does not spare much time for training or learning martial arts.
Instead, she enjoys listening to the account of adventure from travelers she encounters in the village. People say that she has heard so much of those accounts that there is none that she does not know of.

Harris is a scholar who works for the Oracle.
They say that he, who always says there is a principle for all the matters in the world and smiles gently, usually reads books in his study all day long. He has this habit of taking a walk around the village when he has something to agonize over. That explains why he sometimes fails to notice people speaking to him and passes them by.

Veniarkan, who is a regular graduate of Kanon Magic School, is one of the best-known magicians. Since his competence is also recognized in the Oracle, his reputation is spread all over CRONOUS.
Though young fighters who want to become his pupils are always around him, I have not heard that he has formally taken anyone as his pupil yet.
Most of those fighters who come to Veniarkan have either failed in developing ability that suits them or have kept failing in improving their skill.
They have all gathered to receive his blessed teaching and right training. However, since this entails quite a big price to pay, sincere and careful consideration before making a decision is advised.

Kayla is a tough, heroine type of woman who appraises various minerals or treasures that are found in CRONOUS. She is in the habit of saying that travelers are usually tough and her having to deal with them naturally has formed the present character in her.
Since her ability is positively the best in CRONOUS, travelers even from distant places come a long way to ask her.
